WINCHESTER, California (June 24, 2015) — A tow truck driver was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Domenigoni Parkway as he was outside of his vehicle and attempting to hook up a disabled bus onto his tow truck, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The suspect was driving an emerald green passenger vehicle when he struck the pedestrian tow truck driver who was standing near his vehicle, near the State Route Highway 79.
The Temecula and Murrieta police departments responded and are searching for the suspect who fled the scene after injuring the tow truck driver. The victim was transported by ambulance to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Police are investigating the circumstances and will issue a report with their findings.
