At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Traffic Collision on Kumeyaay Highway Wednesday
Winterhaven, CA (July 21, 2021) – A car accident that occurred early Wednesday on Interstate 8 resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a white sedan veered off the roadway while traveling on westbound Interstate 8, also known as Kumeyaay Highway. The passenger vehicle ended up rolling about 80 feet down the embankment near Ogilby Road.

Shortly after 2:20 a.m., emergency crews arrived at th crash site. Responding medical personnel immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered major injuries from the collision. The name of the injured party, and their age remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the car accident in Winterhaven have not been revealed thus far. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the crash.
