Bicycle Rider Killed in Winton Crash at Santa Fe Drive and Chestnut Lane
WINTON, CA (May 14, 2021) – A bicycle rider was killed after an accident at Santa Fe Drive and Chestnut Lane in Winton.
According to an article published by the ABC 30 News, the tragic incident occurred late Thursday night. Officers reported the crash on May 13 shortly before 10:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a car struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The driver hit the bicyclist at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and Chestnut Lane in Winton.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then confirmed that the cyclist died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the bicyclist.
Officials forced the intersection of Santa Fe and Chestnut to shut down for a time. The cause of the fatal Winton bicycle crash is still under investigation.
