Ashley Bevers, 65, Killed Jamul Hit-and-Run on Campo Road
JAMUL (October 10, 2018) – The hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian along Campo Road last week on October 5 has been arrested, according to NBC San Diego.
The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Wissam Habeeb Yousif, of Santee.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said 65-year-old Ashley Bevers was crossing Campo Road near Jamul Feed & Supply when she was struck by a Toyota Corolla.

The Corolla driven by Yousif was going west on Campo when for an unknown reason it hit the Jamul woman.
CHP affirmed that Bevers was rushed to Scripps Memorial Hospital where she later died. A GoFundMe page has been created to help her family and her funeral expenses.
Meanwhile, Yousif initially stopped, exited his car but then went back in and fled. The motorist was later found and was booked into San Diego County Jail on felony hit-and-run charges but was released Saturday on $50,000 bail.
