Witnesses Sought in South LA Hit-and-Run Crash Figueroa and 115th Streets

Authorities Seek Witnesses in Deadly South LA Hit-and-Run | Attorney Urges Public to Step Forward

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 30, 2025) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a hit-and-run driver who killed a woman in a crash at Figueroa and 115th streets Thursday night in South Los Angeles.

The deadly collision occurred around 9:20 p.m. on May 29th near the downtown Los Angeles intersection, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling northbound on Figueroa Street when it struck the pedestrian. The driver fled the scene without stopping, as required by law.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded but pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The identity of the woman in her 30s has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
