LIVINGSTON: Car Crash Accident on Highway 99 Near Hammatt Avenue Exit
LIVINGSTON, California — Injuries were reported following a traffic collision on Highway 99 near Hammatt Avenue exit Friday afternoon, according to an article by Merced Sun-Star.
Officials said a Honda vehicle and a Ford Fusion were involved in the crash that occurred on March 17 at 5:00 p.m.
As per the article, the Ford driver allegedly fell asleep and rear-ended the Honda in front of it. The impact sent the Honda crashing into the center guard rail, and caused injuries to all three occupants; a female passenger was ejected from the car, and a child was thrown from the rear seat into the windshield or front dashboard.
It was not immediately clear whether the victims were transported to hospitals but paramedics affirmed the woman and child were both lucky to only have sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver was unharmed from the incident.
