Woman Killed in La Puente Car Accident is Identified

WEST LA PUENTE, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2026) – Teresa Castellanos Maldonado, 85, died Monday in a two-car collision at a West La Puente intersection.

The crash occurred around 5:48 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19th at Amar Road and Millbury Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the scene of the collision between a white Mercedes-Benz and black BMW, the report said.

Paramedics transported the injured woman by ambulance to a hospital, however, she later died from her injuries.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Teresa Castellanos Maldonado.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation to determine fault.
