Woman and 2 Children Flown to Desert Hospital
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (May 30, 2018) – A driver was killed and three others were seriously injured after a traffic collision along Amboy Road Tuesday afternoon, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
In a statement released online by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol said a woman identified as Kendra Griffith, 32, of Utah, was passing another car south on Amboy Road when for an unknown reason her vehicle went off the roadway onto the northern dirt shoulder.
Woman Triggers Head-on Crash on Amboy Road
Griffith attempted to regain control of her vehicle merging back onto the road where she veered into the path and hit another car head-on.
Officials affirmed that Griffith died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the unidentified woman driving the vehicle and two children accompanying her were all airlifted to Desert Hospital located in Palm Springs.
Authorities are looking into whether drugs and alcohol were contributing factors as the collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
