Victim Struck by Car While in Crosswalk
OJAI, California (April 12, 2016) – A hit-and-run driver left a 72-year-old woman seriously injured at Ojai Avenue and Fox Street on March 29, according to KVTA. (map)
The incident took place at 7:46 p.m.
As per the article, the woman and her husband were walking in the designated crosswalk at the intersection when a car failed to stop and struck the female victim.
She was immediately transported to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Her name has not been yet publicized.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved fled the scene. KVTA and the deputies were not able to provide the description of the suspect vehicle.
Authorities are still gathering more evidence and information to locate the hit-and-run driver.
