SANTA ROSA, California — According to an article by Press Democrat, three people were injured following a head-on collision on Stony Point Road Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened on March 14 between a southbound blue Prius and a Chevrolet pickup near of Ludwig Avenue.
As per the article, 26-year-old Joseph Herschel Abell was allegedly driving his truck erratically when he then swerved into oncoming traffic.
Abell, of Santa Rosa, struck the Prius driven by 36-year-old Dora Luz Meza Robles.
Robles was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with a broken leg and pelvis while her 16-year-old daughter traveling with her at the time was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries. They are from Santa Rosa.
Meanwhile, Abell was also taken to the same hospital with complaints of pain to his chest.
It remains unclear whether or not Abell was under the influence as the investigation is ongoing.
