Woman Hit on Golden State Highway in Oildale
OILDALE (April 13, 2017)
According to the Kern Golden Empire, a woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening on Highway 99 also known as Golden State Highway.
The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. near Airport Drive when the unidentified woman struck the center divider for unknown reasons leaving her car stalled and damaged.
Per the article, she decided to exit her vehicle and was struck by a passing motorist causing significant injuries as she was rushed to the emergency room for immediate medical care.
The latest update on her condition confirmed that she is expected to survive.
No further details have been released at this time as California Highway Patrol handles the investigation.
