Woman Injured in Bicycle Accident on Sebastopol Road in Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (June 11, 2025) — A 55-year-old Santa Rosa woman riding a bicycle is in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck Monday at Sebastopol Road and Laurel Grove Circle in Santa Rosa.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department the traffic accident occurred around 8:12 a.m. on June 9th at the Santa Rosa intersection.
Paramedics responded to help the injured woman, and the driver of the involved gold Ford pickup truck stopped nearby.
Woman Hit by Pickup Truck in Crosswalk
The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to a local trauma center for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, the 59-year-old Cloverdale man driving the pickup truck stopped and cooperated with authorities. The motorist told officers that the bicyclist was in a Sebastopol Road crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver was traveling westbound when he struck the bicyclist.
Investigators do not suspect speed, alcohol, and or drugs were factors in the crash.
Police closed down the roadway and spent roughly three hours investigating the circumstances.
