Woman Killed in Harvard Heights Crash on Gage Avenue, Normandie Ave

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 22, 2026) – A woman died early Monday following a crash involving a DUI suspect on West Gage Avenue near Normandie Avenue in the Harvard Heights area of Los Angeles.
The deadly collision followed a series of collisions involving a suspected DUI driver who fled an earlier crash a few blocks away. The male driver had rear-ended another motorist around 12:40 a.m. on Gage Avenue at Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene.
The suspect continued west on Gage Avenue and then collided with a white car and two other motorists near Normandie Avenue, police said. A 49-year-old woman in the white car suffered fatal injuries.
