LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 2, 2024) — A woman riding as a passenger on a motorcycle died when the bike collided with a car on Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1st at East Ocean Boulevard and Kennebec Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The Long Beach Fire Department responded with paramedics and located the male motorcyclist and his female passenger with injuries. They were both transported to a local hospital, but unfortunately, the woman died at the hospital.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner has not identified the woman.

The bike was heading eastbound on Ocean Boulevard when its driver allowed the bike to drift into the westbound lanes where it collided with a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse, police said.
Both occupants from the motorcycle were thrown off into the westbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard, police said.
