SAN DIEGO, California — According to an article by CBS 8, a 2-vehicle crash resulted in multiple parties injured at Via Mar de Delfinas and West Ocean Air Drive in Carmel Valley.
The accident happened on March 22 at around 3:00 p.m.
Initial investigation revealed a woman drove her 2002 Lexus sedan into the path of a northbound 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee while trying to make a left turn from westbound Via Mar de Delfinas onto West Ocean Air Drive. The 24-year-old Jeep driver was not able to stop in time to avoid ramming the Lexus driver’s door.
As per the article, paramedics took the Lexus driver to a hospital for treatment of severe trauma, including a fractured hip, an open fracture of her left femur and internal bleeding.
Meanwhile, the Jeep driver, and a teenage passenger in the Lexus were also hurt from the crash. Both sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Police officers said investigation is still ongoing but at this point, they can tell that the woman violated the other driver’s right of way just before the collision.
