Major Injury Collision Thursday Between Woodbridge and Acampo
WOODBRIDGE/ACAMPO (June 15, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury crash took place Thursday afternoon at or near the crossroads of Woodbridge and Lower Sacramento roads.
CHP officials were alerted of the 2-car crash just before 1:00 p.m. at 12:57 p.m.
A Jeep Cherokee and a possibly a Cadillac were the involved vehicles in which major injuries were confirmed to at least one driver.
At least one person needed to be extricated from their vehicle and rushed to a hospital from the scene by ambulance in moderate to serious condition, according to the report.
The dispatch report indicated that the Cadillac incurred serious damage to the front of the vehicle.
A total of three towing companies arrived at the scene including Pacific, Sam Berri, and Tuleburg Evidence Towing
Severe traffic delays ensued following the wreck which led to the closure of multiple lanes for several hours.
No details have been released at this time regarding the cause of the collision.
