Major Injury Collision on West Side Highway Thursday
Woodland, CA (April 29, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a car accident on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Highway, early Thursday.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a black SUV crashed for an unknown reason on the southbound lanes of I-5 near an onramp in Yolo. At this time, the exact number of occupants in the SUV remained undisclosed.
Shortly after 1 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found the SUV facing the wrong-way. Initial records indicated a black Ford Ranger was also located in the area. However, it remained unclear whether the Ranger played a role in the accident.

The CHP dispatch later mentioned the collision resulted in major injuries. Pending confirmation, the names of the victims and their age have not been revealed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led to the car crash in Woodland.
