At Least 1 Killed in Car Crash on I-5 Freeway Friday
Woodland, CA (February 26, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal car accident that occurred on Interstate 5 in Woodland.
CHP logged the unfortunate event Friday shortly before 9:45 p.m.
Initial records indicated a car crashed and drove into a ditch along northbound I-5, also known as West Side Freeway. The traffic collision took place near the freeway connector onto State Route 113.
When emergency crews arrived at the accident scene, they found a person trapped in the wreckage. Responding firefighters immediately worked to extricate the unidentified victim.

At approximately 10:15 a.m, CHP mentioned one person died as a result of the crash. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Officers mentioned the incident possibly resulted in deadly injuries to another person. Additional details on the second fatal victim have not been revealed thus far.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate at this time the precise circumstances that led to the fatal car accident in Woodland.
