3 Killed, Several Injured in Collision Near Zamora
Woodland, CA (May 26, 2022) – One male, and two female parties died following a car accident that occurred on County Road 14.
According to KCRA News, a van occupied by eleven people was traveling on CR-14 just west of Zamora. When the van approached the area near Interstate 5 and Interstate 505, the driver apparently allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway. The van drifted off the side of the highway and rolled over several times. Officials believed the vehicle came to a rest after crashing into a tree.
Deadly Car Accident on County Road 14 in Woodland
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 3 p.m. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all the eleven occupants in the van. After the evaluation, officials confirmed one man and two women sadly died in the collision. The names of the fatal victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the eight other passengers sustained moderate to major injuries as a result of the incident. Paramedics transported the patients to hospitals in Solano and Sacramento counties for further treatment and evaluation.
Investigators mentioned the occupants of the van were farmworkers leaving work and heading back home. Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly car accident on County Road 14 in Woodland.
