Connikia Sikes ID’d as Suspect in Fatal Car Accident on Ventura Boulevard
LOCATION: Woodland Hills, Los Angeles County
DATE OF COLLISION: Tuesday, September 11th
September 27, 2018 – The Los Angeles Police Department identified 31-year-old Connikia Sikes as the suspect in the deadly car crash on Ventura Boulevard.
The accident happened on September 11, Tuesday, around 10:20 p.m.
According to Los Angeles Daily News, Sikes was driving a 2017 Kia Forte heading east while in a westbound lane of Ventura Boulevard. Shortly after traveling wrong-way, she crashed into a 2017 Toyota Prius traveling west.
Primary reports indicated Sikes was arrested and booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated shortly after the crash. Officials added Sikes was released on bond the following day.
Katrina Remus Killed, 2 Injured in Woodland Hills DUI Crash
As per the article, 24-year-old Katrina A. Remus was killed in the collision. Remus was apparently a passenger in the Kia when the crash took place.
Furthermore, two unidentified parties reportedly sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Authorities affirmed both victims were taken to area hospital due to the extent of their injuries.
