Hit-and-run Truck Crash on I-5 Freeway in Woodland

 WOODLAND: Hit-and-run Crash involving Truck Interstate 5 Freeway, West Street WOODLAND, Calif. (April 29, 2020) — A driver was injured Wednesday afternoon when their Toyota Camry was struck by a big rig truck on the Interstate 5 Freeway and was pushed across the median into the southbound traffic in Woodland.

The truck driver continued to drive northbound on the I-5 Freeway without stopping after the 12:35 p.m. crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Toyota wound up on the southbound side of the freeway near the West Street off ramp.

The driver in the grey Toyota Camry suffered undisclosed injuries in the collision. The Yolo Fire Department responded to the scene, but it’s unknown if the person was taken to a hospital or not.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run truck driver.

The crash remains under investigation.
