Woodrow Gibson, 27, Killed in Crash Near Rapley Ranch Road Friday
WOODSIDE, Ca (July 7, 2020) – A 27-year-old man died in a traffic collision on Skyline Boulevard Friday evening, the Daily Journal News reported.
The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality as Woodrow Gibson, of Campbell.
Preliminary investigation revealed Gibson was a passenger in a white BMW 540i traveling at a high rate of speed on Skyline. When the driver, also 27-year-old, approached the area of Rapley Ranch Road near Thomas Fogerty Winery, the BMW veered off the right side of the road.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the car smashed into a tree.
Officials confirmed the passenger, Gibson, sadly died at the location.

Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the driver to a Stanford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The name of the driver have not been revealed thus far.
The California Highway Patrol group said evidence at the scene indicated impairment played a role in the tragic crash.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
