WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (April 11, 2023) — Two people were critically injured in a wrong-way crash on La Brea Avenue in West Hollywood.
The traffic accident happened in the 1200 block of La Brea Avenue around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, April 10th, according to KTLA News 5.
A white car was allegedly speeding and veered into opposing traffic where it collided with a Ford Mustang sedan. Both vehicles sustained major damage in the collision.
The impact from the crash caused both heavy damage to the vehicles and left both motorists trapped in their cars, police said.
Los Angeles County firefighters responded and extricated the trapped motorists. They rushed both people to a hospital in critical condition, according to police.
Investigators closed down both directions of La Brea Avenue and are working to determine fault for the crash.
