Fatal Head-on Crash on I-210 Freeway in Arcadia
Arcadia, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2025) — One person was killed in Arcadia early Monday in a head-on crash caused by a wrong-way driver on the Foothill (210) Freeway, authorities said.
The crash was reported on Dec. 15th about 2:55 a.m. on the eastbound lanes near Baldwin Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigators said a sedan traveling the wrong direction struck another vehicle head-on.
Arcadia firefighters responded to the scene and pronounced one person dead, a CHP officer said. The victim’s identity was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
Following the crash, all eastbound lanes except the far-right lane and shoulder were closed beginning at 3:39 a.m., and a SigAlert was issued minutes later. As of about 7:30 a.m., only the far-right lane and shoulder remained open while personnel from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office worked at the scene.
The cause of the wrong-way driving was under investigation.
