Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle at South Real Road and Apache Avenue Saturday
Bakersfield, CA (November 8,2021) – Xavier Spain Kennedy, a 40-year-old Bakersfield resident, died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of South Real Road and Apache Avenue.
On November 6, Saturday, a Ford Flex was traveling north on South Real Road. The KGET News reported the vehicle struck a male party that walked eastbound across the intersection at Apache Avenue.
The horrible crash took place at about 10 p.m.

Shortly after the incident, rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the pedestrian with serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Xavier Spain Kennedy.
No immediate information was available on the driver of the Ford.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident at South Real Road and Apache Avenue.
