Yangyang Liu, 33, Killed in Pasadena Pedestrian Crash at Allen and San Pasqual
PASADENA, CA (November 30, 2021) – A pedestrian crash killed Yangyang Liu at Allen Avenue and San Pasqual Street in Pasadena.
The coroner’s office identified the 33-year-old Pasadena woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last week on Friday.
The incident happened when Yangyang Liu was crossing Allen Avenue and San Pasqual Street in Pasadena. At the same time, a 2007 BMW 328i was headed south on Allen.
Driver Runs Stop Sign, Hits Woman
Police said the car, going over the speed limit, then ran a stop sign at the intersection. In the process, the BMW struck the victim.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the woman lying on the ground. Yangyang Liu suffered blunt-force head trauma as a result of the pedestrian crash.
Medical personnel soon pronounced her dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 20-year-old Pasadena man driving the BMW stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
The Pasadena Star News wrote that the pedestrian accident occurred on November 26 at around 11:20 a.m. The collision is still under investigation.
