Patrol Vehicle Overturns, Lands Onto Auto Shop Along West Yermo Road
Yermo, CA (May 1, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on West Yermo Road, the Daily Press News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s SUV flipped several times in the streets of Yermo Sunday afternoon. According to the article published online, the deputy lost control of the patrol vehicle for an unknown reason. Given that, the SUV rolled off and struck two cars on the side of the road. After the impact, the patrol vehicle went airborne and landed onto the roof of a small auto-repair shop in the 501 block of West Yermo Road.
The crash happened in the area between Knowles Street and McCormick Street.
Employee Injured After Car Crash in Yermo
Shortly after 1:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders found at least one employee at the repair shop with injuries. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the condition of the officer involved in the crash.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the accident on West Yermo Road.
