Woman Killed, One Injured in Deadly Hit-and-run Crash
PICO RIVERA, Calif. (March 13, 2023) – Yesenia Sanchez, 36, of Los Angeles, died and another woman was injured after a Pico Rivera pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver at Rooks Road and Rose Hills Road.
The deadly crash occurred around 11:22 p.m. on Sunday, March 12th, according to MyNewsLA.
Three women were walking southbound on the curbside of Rooks Road last night when a passing motorist struck two of them and continued driving without stopping to help them.
Paramedics responded and pronounced Yesenia Sanchez dead at the scene and transported a second seriously-injured woman to a hospital. The third woman was not harmed in the crash.
Investigators are working on the case and searching for the suspect.
