2 Rescued After Truck Crash on Interstate 5 at Yolo Bypass Friday
Yolo, CA (June 26, 2021) – Rescue teams saved two people from a big rig that crashed on Interstate 5 at the Yolo Bypass Friday afternoon.
According to CBS Sacramento, the truck swerved across the Yolo Bypass and hit the guardrail. The force from the impact caused the big rig to dangle from the bridge. Officials said the incident took place around 1:30 p.m. near the Sacramento International Airport.
Woodland firefighters responded to the crash. A crews was reportedly place in a rescue harness to extricate the grandfather and grandson inside of the big rig cab.

After emergency teams successfully freed the victim, paramedics checked the condition of both the grandfather and grandson. The conditions of the two patients at this time remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the crash have not been discussed thus far. Investigators continue to work a this time to determine several factors surrounding the big rig accident in Yolo.
