Man Working on Parked SUV Badly Injured by Reckless Driver
LOCATION: Yolo Causeway, Yolo County
DATE OF INCIDENT: Thursday, August 9th
August 10, 2018- According to KCRA News, a deadly crash transpired last night caused by a reckless out of control driver on eastbound I-80 on the Yolo Causeway.
KCRA did not indicate the time of night the collision took place but confirmed that the driver of a sedan lost control and struck a parked SUV on the right-hand shoulder that a man had been working on underneath the vehicle.
Following the wreck, the man working under the vehicle suffered major undisclosed injuries prompting him to be rushed to a medical center for immediate treatment. He has not been identified at this time.
Driver of Out of Control Sedan Pronounced Dead
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan was killed on impact and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has not been identified by name at this time.
California Highway Patrol officials are investigating whether or not drugs or alcohol played a factor.
