Woman Killed in Crash on Yolo Causeway Near Davis
DAVIS, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Wednesday morning on the Yolo Causeway along the Interstate 80 Freeway, just east of Chiles Road.
A three-vehicle crash happened in the area at 6:24 a.m. on Sept. 11th, according to California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led to the pedestrian being hit and vehicles were blocking all traffic lanes
The pedestrian, described only as an adult woman, suffered major injuries. Paramedics transported her by ambulance to a hospital where she later died. The victim’s name and age were not released, pending notification of her next of kin.
Meanwhile, there were no other injuries reported at the scene.
The CHP’s Woodland station is heading up the investigation into the Yolo Causeway pedestrian accident.
