Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man in Fremont
Fremont, CA (July 1, 2022) – Yuan Li, a 71-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Driscoll Road and Carmen Street.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident at Driscoll Road and Carmen Street
On June 29, Wednesday, Li was walking his bicycle in the bike lane along Driscoll Road. When the man approached the intersection at Carmen Street, a vehicle drifted towards the direction of the bike lane; and struck the man. The East Bay Times published an article online reporting the collision resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian walking his bicycle.
Authorities on Friday identified the deceased as Yuan Li, of Fremont.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver reportedly appeared unharmed after the collision. The motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident at Driscoll Road and Carmen Street.
