YUBA CITY (February 17, 2017)- According to the Appeal-Democrat, a deadly DUI crash has left two women dead and two others injured Sunday morning, February 12th, on Tierra Buena Road.
The incident took place at 12:21 a.m. when the driver of a Ford Contour identified as Johnny Manley, 26, of Yuba City, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a canal before flipping over the vehicle.
Two women in the vehicle identified as Heather Irwin, 32, of Olivehurst, and Nadine Cruz, 18, of Oroville, were both seriously injured in the wreck. Irwin was rushed to Rideout Regional Med Center, where she sadly died of her injuries at the hospital. Cruz was rushed to UC David Med Cente, where she sadly also succumbed to her injuries,
Two other passengers were injured including Tyrese Smith, 17, of Olivehurst, and Rosa Quihuis, of Yuba City. Both injured victims were transported to Enloe Med Center.
Meanwhile, Manley has since been confirmed to have been driving under the influence as he has since been arrested and will face charges.
