Arizona Woman, 43, in Car Accident
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2024) — Yui Umehara Garewal, 43, of Oro Valley, Arizona, died in a car accident on the Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Corn Springs Road in Desert Center.
The Arizona woman was traveling in a vehicle involved in the collision at 2:50 p.m. on Dec. 26th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
The vehicles collided in the No. 2 lane due to unknown circumstances, according to the CHP-Blythe.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured, but the woman identified as Yui Umehara-Garewal died at 3:19 p.m. at the scene.
An investigation is underway by the California Highway Patrol – Blythe station.
