Juvenile Struck by Vehicle is Airlifted to Hospital

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Oct. 5, 2026) — A juvenile was critically injured in a car accident Sunday night on Amethyst Road, just north of Bear Valley Road in Victorville.

The collision occurred around 8 p.m. on October 4, 2026, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. It’s the second major traffic accident in this area over the weekend.

Deputies responded to a 911 call about a white vehicle hitting a pedestrian who was walking with an adult across Amethyst Road, police said.

The driver reportedly stopped in a nearby shopping center parking lot following the crash. Detectives noted there was visible damage to the vehicle and its front hood.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the injured juvenile to Desert Valley Hospital where he was then airlifted by a medical helicopter to a trauma center at Loma Linda University Medical Center for further treatment.

The Victorville Police Department is handling the investigation.
