Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Nevada City Crash on Cooper Road
NEVADA CITY, CA (June 3, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Cooper Road in Nevada City.
The California Highway Patrol logged the incident on Saturday evening, June 3. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 6:11 p.m.
The incident happened when the motorcyclist and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Nevada City. The two crashed at 17586 Cooper Road near Jonquil Road.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcycle rider who sustained major injuries as a result of the accident.
An air ambulance then flew the patient to the Sutter Roseville for treatment of possible broken arm and leg and lacerations. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced a stretch of Cooper Road to shut down for an hour after the wreck.
The cause of the Nevada City crash is still under investigation.
