MANTECA, Calif. (June 20, 2023) — The fatal Manteca motorcycle crash that happened Monday morning at West Yosemite Avenue at Fishback Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 9 a.m. on Monday, June 19th, according to the Manteca Police Department.
A 45-year-old Lathrop man riding a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Yosemite Avenue and a woman was driving a westbound SUV when she attempted to make a turn onto Fishback Road, according to ABC 10 News. The two vehicles collided and the motorcyclist suffered major injuries.
The man’s injuries were severe and he died at the scene. The identity of the Lathrop man who died is unknown at this time.
Investigators working on the case do not suspect DUI, but preliminary facts indicate that speed might be a factor in the crash.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
