Fatal Crash at Van Buren Boulevard in the March Air Reserve Base
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2020) — A man was ejected from a red SUV and died in a collision Wednesday on Van Buren Boulevard at March Air Reserve Base.
The fatal Riverside County collision was reported at 7:28 a.m. at Meridian Parkway near the Riverside National Cemetery, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police responded to the crash scene where they located a man’s body in the roadway, a blue semi-truck was jackknifed and the red SUV. Cal Fire Riverside firefighters were called to help the injured man, but he did not survive the crash. The CHP report stated that someone put a blanket over him and he was pronounced dead on scene.
The vehicles were towed from the Riverside County crash scene. Police are heading up an investigation into liability for the crash.
