Man Killed in Huntington Beach Hit-and-Run Near Goldenwest and Oxford
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (January 25, 2021) – Jacob Conroy, 29, has been identified as the pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night near Goldenwest Street and Oxford Drive in Huntington Beach.
The traffic accident happened about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24th, according to The Orange County Register and My News LA. The victim was later identified by the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.
The man who died was crossing Goldenwest Street near Oxford Drive when he was hit by a driver in a black SUV.
Meanwhile, a second vehicle went by and ran over the man in the street. Paramedics responded and located the badly injured man lying on the ground.
He was soon pronounced him dead at the scene. The first driver fled in a black SUV, possibly a Cadillac. The second motorist stopped and cooperated with authorities.
