Skateboard Rider Killed in Antelope Hit-and-Run
ANTELOPE, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2020) – Kia Estelle Goss, 40, of North Highlands, died Friday in a hit-and-run crash near Watt Avenue and Elverta Road in Antelope.
Kia Goss was riding a skateboard about 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30th when she was struck by a motorist, according to CBS Sacramento and KCRA News.
A vehicle was heading northbound on Watt Avenue when it reached the intersection with Elverta Road. Meanwhile, Goss was riding her skateboard in the bicycle lane.
The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason the car veered into the bike lane and struck the victim.

Firefighters and paramedics responded and located the skateboard rider lying in the roadway. The woman suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased woman was released by the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
The motorist involved failed to stop and render aid to the victim. The driver fled the crash scene and left the woman to die. Authorities are now searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
