Motorcycle Rider Killed in Fresno Crash is Identified
FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 22, 2021) —Randy Villalobos, 33, was identified as the motorcyclist killed Friday morning in a crash at North West Avenue at Princeton Avenue.
The Fresno County Correctional Officer motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck that was making a left turn onto West Avenue.
Police closed down the roadway between Clinton and Shields avenues following the fatal collision.
The crash happened about about 6:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22nd, according to Fox26 News.
Villalobos was transported to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck did not report any injuries.
The investigation into the fatal crash will seek to determine fault. At this time, it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.
Police closed down West Avenue so that the police reconstruction unit could investigate the cause of the crash.
Villalobos began working for the sheriff’s office in 2013 and was known for being an exemplary officer.
He leaves behind his parents, fiancée and a young child.
