1 Killed; 2 Hurt in San Ardo Crash on Highway 101
SAN ARDO, Calif. (Feb. 3, 2021) — Sabrina Lecce, 23, of Shandon, was killed in a crash with an alleged DUI driver Tuesday just south of King City near San Ardo.
The two-vehicle accident happened about 5:00 p.m., on February 2. The crash took place on the southbound side of Highway 101 near Alvarado Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say a 2009 Lincoln driven by Balthazar Donato, 27, of Greenfield reportedly swerved into opposing traffic. The Lincoln crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Sabrina Lecce.
Unfortunately, Lecce suffered fatal injuries and her passenger had minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the CHP arrested Donato at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence. Donato was also treated for undisclosed injuries.
Furthermore, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
