Woman Killed While Walking in Crosswalk
LOS ANGELES (Oct. 18, 2021) – Sherolyn Scott, 64, died Saturday in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Normandie Avenue and 83rd Street.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened as the woman was walking in a crosswalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A hit-and-run motorist struck the victim about 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16th in the Manchester Square area of Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified Sherolyn Scott on their website.
Minor Collision at Manchester and Normandie Avenues
Police report that prior to the fatal pedestrian collision, the driver was involved in a minor crash with another motorist at Manchester and Normandie avenues. While fleeing the scene, the motorist struck Scott in the crosswalk, according to KTLA.
The suspect’s vehicle became disabled on 79th Street as he fled the fatal pedestrian accident. The man got out of the vehicle and ran away.
Meanwhile, authorities pronounced Sherolyn Scott dead at the scene, police said.
