1 Seriously Injured in Firebaugh Crash Near Nees Avenue and Fairfax Avenue
FIREBAUGH, CA (April 1, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash near Nees Avenue and Fairfax Avenue in Firebaugh.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident as a head-on collision on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 4:30 p.m.
According to the dispatch, three cars and a semi-truck collided for an unknown reason. They crashed near the intersection of West Nees and North Fairfax avenues in Firebaugh.
CHP described the other vehicles involved as a Lexus sedan, a Toyota minivan and a Ford F-350 pickup. The Lexus sustained major front-end damage upon impact.
Cars and Semi-Truck Collide in Firebaugh
The Toyota rolled over and then caught fire as a result of the collision. It obtained major damage on its roof and four broken tires.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found one person suffering from major injuries following the crash.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officials forced the road to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Firebaugh crash.
