Jaime Rodriguez, 45, Seriously Injured in Kings County Fatal Crash on Highway 43
KINGS COUNTY, CA (April 2, 2021) – A fatal car crash seriously injured Jaime Rodriguez along Highway 43 in Kings County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 45-year-old Corcoran man and his children as victims of the wreck which occurred on Thursday evening.
The incident happened on April 1 when Jaime Arellano Rodriguez was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe south on Highway 43 in Kings County. He was driving with his three children near Nevada Avenue.
At the same time, a Toyota 4Runner was traveling at a high rate of speed north. CHP said the Toyota then drifted into the southbound lane and hit the Chevrolet head-on.

The 4Runner overturned and became engulfed in flames upon impact. The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News reported the accident at about 6:20 p.m. between Hanford and Corcoran.
Paramedics rushed Jaime Rodriguez to Kaweah Delta hospital in Visalia and his 9-year-old son to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera. They suffered major injuries as a result of the collision.
His 11-year-old and 16-year-old daughters died at the scene. Family members created a GoFundMe page to help cover the medical bills and funeral expenses of the victims.
CHP added that firefighters also pronounced the motorist in the burning Toyota, a 44-year-old Orosi man, dead at the crash site.
Meanwhile, officers forced Highway 43 to shut down for about three hours following the fiery collision. The tragic Kings County wreck is still under investigation.
