DUI Driver Jonathan Guzman, 23, Hits Fire Hydrant in Castaic Crash
CASTAIC, CA (April 5, 2021) – Authorities detained Jonathan Guzman after a DUI crash along Hillcrest Parkway in Castaic.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 23-year-old Castaic man was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred on Sunday.
The incident happened on April 4 when Jonathan Guzman was driving westbound on Hillcrest Parkway near The Old Road in Castaic.
CHP said Jonathan Guzman then slammed into a fire hydrant in the area. According to the article published by the Hometown Station, officers reported the accident at around 4:30 a.m.
Passenger Injured in Solo-Car Collision on Hillcrest Parkway
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found his female passenger injured as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took her to the hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. Her name and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP soon arrested Guzman on felony DUI charges. They booked him into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail in lieu of a $100,000 bail.
Authorities forced Hillcrest Parkway to close following the collision. They are still investigating the Castaic DUI crash.
