Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Montecito Crash on Sycamore Canyon Road
MONTECITO, CA (April 23, 2021) – A crash left a pedestrian seriously injured on Sycamore Canyon Road near a Montecito elementary school.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the collision occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the crash at about 12:18 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the person for an unknown reason near the Cold Spring Elementary School. The driver hit the pedestrian at 2243 Sycamore Canyon Road in Montecito.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Lotusland. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the crash site after hitting the person. They forced the road to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Montecito pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
