2 Injured in East Compton MTA Bus Hit-and-Run Crash at Atlantic and Myrrh
EAST COMPTON, CA (May 9, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after an MTA bus hit-and-run crash at Atlantic Avenue and Myrrh Street in East Compton.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident occurred on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:55 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck the MTA bus for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of South Atlantic Avenue and East Myrrh Street.
Driver Hits MTA Bus, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found two people riding the MTA bus hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took both patients to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver who hit the bus did not stop and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Atlantic and Myrrh to close following the wreck.
The East Compton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
