1 Killed, 2 Injured in Tulare County Crash Near Highway 198 and Road 210
TULARE COUNTY, CA (May 22, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured two others near Highway 198 and Road 210 in Tulare County.
According to an article published by the FOX 26 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:45 a.m.
The incident happened when a Nissan Altima ran through a stop sign on Road 210 in Tulare County. At the same time, a Dodge Charger was going east on Highway 198.
The California Highway Patrol said the Dodge then entered the intersection with the right of way. In the process, the Charger collided with the Nissan.
Drivers Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene, east of Visalia and south of Woodlake. They confirmed that a passenger in the Altima died as a result of the collision.
The operator of the Nissan and the driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries due to the impact of the crash. Medical personnel provided treatment to the patients at the site.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the intersection of Highway 198 and Road 210 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Tulare County crash is still under investigation.
