At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Car Collision Near Highway 58 Tuesday
Bakersfield, CA (May 25, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a car crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on State Route 99, also known as Golden State Highway.
Initial records indicated a blue Chevrolet veered off the traffic lanes, and ended up slamming into the center divider. The force from the impact resulted in major damage to the vehicle.

Shortly after 4 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to the possible victims. The California Highway Patrol mentioned at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. No immediate information was available on the driver involved in the crash.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car crash on State Route 99 happened.
